What smartfilm costs.
Transparent, indicative pricing for PDLC switchable smart film and laminated smart glass in India — per-square-foot brackets, the factors that move them, and how to get an exact figure.
Rates per
square foot
Indicative 2026 brackets for supply in India. Your exact rate depends on quantity, film grade and site conditions — we confirm it in a written quotation, usually within 24 hours.
| Product | Price range (₹ / sq. ft.) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Self-adhesive PDLC film (retrofit) | ₹800 – ₹1,400 | Existing glass partitions, windows and doors |
| Non-adhesive PDLC film (lamination grade) | ₹700 – ₹1,200 | New laminated smart-glass panels |
| Laminated PDLC smart glass | ₹1,500 – ₹2,500 | New construction, facades and frameless glazing |
| Installation & accessories (transformer, wiring) | ₹100 – ₹250 | All projects — sized to your panel count |
Prices are indicative and reviewed periodically. Bulk orders for offices, hotels and facades attract per-square-foot discounts; small orders — down to a single cabin door — are welcome.
What moves
the price
Four variables decide where your project lands within the brackets above. Knowing them before you enquire makes the quotation conversation fast.
Quantity
Per-square-foot rates fall meaningfully with area. A 40-cabin office fit-out prices very differently from a single boardroom pane — bulk orders for offices, hotels and facades attract real discounts.
Film grade
Higher-transparency, lower-haze grades cost more per square foot and look noticeably better in the clear state. We demonstrate grades side by side on a live sample so you pay for clarity you can actually see.
Installation complexity
Flat, reachable partition glass is the baseline. Curved panes, tall facades, retrofit wiring routes and after-hours site access add labour — quoted transparently as their own line items.
Controls
A wall switch is included in any installation. Remote control, timers, occupancy sensors or integration with building automation and smart-home systems add hardware cost per zone.
Pricing
questions
The questions every buyer asks before requesting a quotation — answered straight.
Usually, yes. Retrofitting self-adhesive PDLC film onto glass you already own typically costs 30–50% less than removing that glass and installing new laminated smart-glass units — and it avoids the demolition, framing and downtime of a glass swap.
No. We take on everything from a single cabin door or bathroom pane to entire building facades. Small orders are welcome — though per-square-foot rates do improve with area.
We quote supply-only and supply-plus-installation as separate figures so you can compare clearly. Installation covers fitting, the transformer, concealed wiring to your switch position, and commissioning.
Every installation needs a transformer matched to the film area, low-voltage wiring, and a control — wall switch at minimum. Remotes, timers, sensors and building-automation interfaces are optional extras, priced per zone.
Share your glass dimensions (or a rough count of panes), your city, and where the film is going — WhatsApp or email works. We return a written, itemised quotation, usually within 24 hours.
